WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 8) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Franciscan in the Jackets' penultimate home match at the Bechtle Family Tennis Facility on Monday afternoon.
Waynesburg falls to 1-8 on the season and 0-5 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action. Franciscan moves to 4-8, 2-1 PAC.

Josh DeFries played the tightest doubles match as the duo went down 8-3 as the Barons took all three doubles points to begin the match.
Ethan Lown (Lebanon, Pa. / Elizabethtown) notched seven games in a 6-4, 6-3 loss at top singles. Hughes won six games in a 6-2, 6-4 defeat at No. 5 singles.
Thomas Torcaso went to a tiebreaker in his second set at sixth singles but was edged 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).
Waynesburg hosts Saint Vincent on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
