WAYNESBURG, Pa. (September 19) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team fell in Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) action, 7-0, to Allegheny at the Bechtle Family Tennis Facility on Thursday afternoon.
The Jackets fall to 0-4 (0-3 PAC) while Allegheny, the preseason favorite in the PAC, rises to 6-1, 3-0 PAC.
Waynesburg took one game in three singles flights and one doubles matchup.
Julia Umshares (Washington, Pa. / Trinity), at No. 2 singles,
Karly Starcher (Williamston, W. Va. / St. Mary's) at No. 4 singles and
Alli Bailey (Mount Pleasant, Pa. / Mount Pleasant) at fifth singles each won a game.
Bailey and
Aubrey Burns (Kittaning, Pa. / Armstrong) won a game at No. 3 doubles.
The Jackets take on La Roche on Saturday at 2 p.m.
