NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (September 26) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team fell 7-0 at Westminster in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Thursday afternoon.
Waynesburg moves to 1-6 on the season and 0-4 in PAC play. Westminster remains unbeaten at 6-0, 4-0 PAC.
Karly Starcher (Williamston, W. Va. / St. Mary's) and
Claire Lace (Orange, Va. / Orange County) won a game at No. 2 doubles as the Titans took the doubles point.
Four different players won at least one game in singles play with
Alli Bailey (Mount Pleasant, Pa. / Mount Pleasant) falling 6-4, 6-0 at fourth singles.
Julia Umshares (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) won three games in a 6-2, 6-1 loss at second singles and
Julia Luzar (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) at first singles and
Aubrey Burns (Kittaning, Pa. / Armstrong) at sixth singles each won two games.
Waynesburg hosts Thiel next Wednesday.
