WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 15) - The Waynesburg women's soccer team picked up a big Presidents' Athletic Conference win against Chatham 2-1 on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets got goals from sophomore forward
Amanda Pepe (Mantua, N.J. / Gloucester County Institute of Technology) and junior forward
Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom).

The Yellow Jackets' (11-1-2, 5-0-2) first goal of the game came in the 30th minute from Pepe to the high right side of the net. The goal was set up by freshman midfielder
Miracle Hershey (Lebanon County, Pa. / New Covenant Christian).

The Jackets got their second goal in the 42nd minute from Mohrbacher. The goal was assisted on by Hershey off a crossing pass from the right of the goal box. Mohrbacher deposited the shot into the bottom left corner of the goal mouth.

The Cougars (8-4-2, 5-2) tallied a goal in the 57th minute, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.

Junior goalkeeper
Lex Greenlief (Chester, W. Va. / Oak Glen) provided nine saves in the win.

The Jackets outshot the Cougars 19-18 and took eight of the nine corner kicks of the contest.

Waynesburg will travel to Steubenville, Ohio, on Saturday, Oct. 18, to take on Franciscan University. Kickoff for the PAC clash is slated for 7 p.m.
