GETTYSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 18) – The Waynesburg University men's cross country team traveled to the massive Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Saturday for its final warmup before the upcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships. The Yellow Jackets finished 32
nd out of 34 teams at the race.
Waynesburg was led by sophomore
Ethan Wilson (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Redeemer Lutheran), who placed a team-best 147
th out of 322 runners with a time of 28:14.20. Sophomore
Nicky Todd (Homer City, Pa. / Homer City) was the next Yellow Jacket to cross the finish line, doing so with the number-256 time of 31:18.30.
Freshman
Rockford Bobak (Castle Shannon, Pa. / Keystone Oaks) placed 276
th with a mark of 32:37.20, while classmate
Logan Eberhardt (Massilon, Ohio / Tuslaw) finished right behind him in 276
th with the same time. Freshman
Jack Hood (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) placed 288
th after finishing the course in 33:44.80.
Lebanon Valley took home the team title.
As previously mentioned, Waynesburg is back in action when it takes part in the annual PAC Championships, which are being hosted by Allegheny College on Saturday, Nov. 1.
