TRAFFORD, Pa. (Sept. 25) – Junior goalkeeper
Lex Greenlief (Chester, W.Va. / Oak Glen) played a major role in two more victories for the Waynesburg women's soccer team this past week. For her efforts, she was honored as the latest Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player, Goalkeeper of the Week.
Greenlief tallied 12 saves and allowed just one goal in the Jackets' (12-1-2, 6-0-2) most recent wins. She racked up nine stops in a 2-1 victory over Chatham on Wednesday, including seven in the first half while Waynesburg built a 2-0 halftime lead. Greenlief then posted her sixth shutout of the season on Saturday after she turned away three shots on goal in a 1-0 triumph at Franciscan
Greenlief currently leads the PAC in goals against average (.462) and save percentage (.905), while her half-dozen clean sheets puts her in a tie for second.
