BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (October 25) - The Waynesburg University women's soccer team picked up its sixth-straight Presidents' Athletic Conference win on Saturday, this time blanking Geneva 2-0. The Yellow Jackets scored both goals in the first half to capture the shutout victory.

The Yellow Jackets' (14-1-2, 8-0-2) first goal came during the second minute from freshman midfielder Miracle Hershey (Lebanon County, Pa. / New Covenant Christian). Hershey's goal was assisted by junior midfielder Hailey Gilchrest (Hanover, Va. / Hanover) from an attempted shot off the right post and Hershey burying the loose ball.

The Jackets found the net again in the 11th minute thanks to junior forward Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom). Her goal was assisted upon by sophomore forward Amanda Pepe (Mantua, N.J. / Gloucester County Institute of Technology) The two connected on a short pass and Mohrbacher buried it in the lower left portion of the goal mouth.

Mohrbacher's 36th collegiate tally moved her into third place all time in goals scored in Yellow Jacket history.

Junior goalkeeper Lex Greenlief (Chester, W. Va. / Oak Glen) provided four saves in the win for her eighth shutout of the campaign.

The Jackets outshot the Golden Tornadoes (6-7-4, 5-4-1) 21-8 (8-4 SOG) and took all 10 of the game's corner kicks. With the win, Waynesburg is guaranteed to finish the regular season no lower than second place in the PAC standings and has sewn up a bye for the first round of the PAC tournament.
