WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 28) – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its annual preseason wrestling poll on Tuesday. Waynesburg was picked to finish sixth for the upcoming campaign after picking up 11 points from the six program head coaches who voted in the poll.
 
The Yellow Jackets are entering their first season under the leadership of new head coach Bobby Patnesk, who brings a wealth of college coaching experience that includes 12 years at NCAA Division I Davidson and five more at Division III Penn State Behrend.
 
The Waynesburg roster is led by junior Jesse Orbin (Houston, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston), who is a returning PAC champion at 174 pounds. Orbin is coming off a stellar sophomore season that featured a 42-6 record.
 
Washington & Jefferson and Saint Vincent tied for the top spot in the poll with 28 points and three first-place votes each. For a complete look at the poll, click here.
 
Waynesburg opens the 2025-26 campaign on Friday, Nov. 7, when it faces Penn State Altoona in a home match. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
