WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 29) – D3Wrestle.com released its annual preseason rankings on Wednesday and Waynesburg University junior Jessie Orbin (Houston, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston) was named a "Contender" for the national top 10 at 174 pounds.

The eight "Contender" spots are wrestlers who are just outside the top 10.

Last year, Orbin went 42-6 on the season with a perfect 18-0 mark in dual competition. He went undefeated in matches determined by pin (10-0) and technical fall (7-0), while also going 11-2 in bouts decided by major decision. He won individual championships at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational and the John Summa Invitational, before claiming the 174-pound crown at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships.

Orbin was a four-time PAC Wrestler of the Week honoree last season and came one win short of qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championships after placing fifth at the NCAA Division III Region 4 Championships.

He enters the 2025-26 campaign with a 75-21 collegiate record.
