HIRAM, OHIO. (Oct. 4) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team traveled to Hiram College to take on the Terriers inside the Price Gymnasium Saturday Afternoon for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match. Hiram (13-2, 5-1) took the three-set victory by the scores of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-11.
Waynesburg (2-15, 0-5) was led by junior
Kristina Zadrozny (McDonald, Pa. / West Allegheny), who finished with seven kills. Senior
Riley Ruffley (Bedford, Pa. / Bedford) and junior
Ray Baniaga (Honolulu, Hawaii / Sacred Hearts) combined for 10 assists on the afternoon.
On the defensive side, senior
Macee Cree (Garards Fort, Pa. / Mapletown) led the Yellow Jackets with five digs, while freshman
Kirsten Shaffer (Hiram, Ohio / Berkshire) finished with team-high two blocks.
Senior
Emily Stutzman (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) once again had a great day at the service line with a match-high three aces.
The Yellow Jackets return to the court on Wednesday with a PAC match at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse against Saint Vincent. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
