PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Nov. 18) – Waynesburg's road trip to face Carlow on Tuesday got off to a bit of a rough start as the Yellow Jackets arrived at Donahue Pavilion behind schedule due to Pittsburgh traffic. However, things went much more smoothly once they got on the court, as the Yellow Jackets defeated the host Celtics 81-56.
Waynesburg (1-2) hit the ground running in the first quarter and outscored Carlow (0-4) 24-13 over the first 10 minutes of play. The visitors extended their lead to 39-24 at halftime and created serious distance between themselves at the opposition with a 26-point third quarter.
The Orange and Black was able to cruise across the finish line in the fourth quarter.
The victors featured a balanced offensive attack that saw five players score between nine and 15 points each. Junior
Kara McFadden (Painesville, Ohio / Fairport Harding), led the charge with a team-high 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor. She also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out five assists.

Kalista Friday (Woodsfield, Ohio / Monroe Central) nearly posted a double-double after yanking down a game-high 10 rebounds and dishing out a contest-best eight assists to go along with six points.
Waynesburg makes its long-awaited home debut on Friday when it hosts Mount Union during the opening game of the Waynesburg Invitational Tournament. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Saint Vincent and Penn State Behrend will also participate in the event, which is scheduled to wrap up Saturday afternoon.
