TRAFFORD, Pa. (Nov. 3) – The Waynesburg University football team emphatically broke out of its four-game losing streak by downing Bethany 48-28 on Saturday. A pair of Yellow Jackets put forth some notable efforts that earned them weekly praise from the Presidents' Athletic Conference on Monday.
Junior running back
Carson Shriver (Fairview, W.Va. / Clay-Battelle) was named PAC Offensive Player of the Week after spearheading a Yellow Jacket rushing attack that cranked out 355 yards on the ground. Shriver converted 24 carries into 228 yards, which is the second-highest single-game rushing total in the conference the season. His ground efforts were highlighted by a 64-yard sprint to paydirt in the third quarter.
Shriver added a 13-yard catch for 241 total offensive yards on the day.
Senior wide receiver
Isaac Trout (Ruffs Dale, Pa. / Southmoreland) was named PAC Special Teams Player of the Week by kickstarting Waynesburg's largest scoring output since week one of the 2022 season. After Bethany took a 3-0 lead early in the second quarter, Trout took the ensuing kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown that gave the Jackets a lead they never relinquished to the host squad.
It was the second longest kick return in the PAC this season. Trout added a 20-yard catch to Waynesburg's winning effort.

Waynesburg wraps up the 2025 season by celebrating senior day on Saturday, Nov. 8, with a home game against Saint Vincent. The contest, which also serves as the team's Veteran's Appreciation game, is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m.
