TRAFFORD, Pa. (Nov. 4) – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its annual preseason women's basketball coaches' poll on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets were picked to finish fifth in the conference's South Division.
 
Waynesburg received 32 points in the poll after going 14-11 overall last year and posting a 9-11 mark in PAC competition. The Jackets are led by head coach Sam Jones, who is entering his 18th season as the leader of the program.
 
Washington & Jefferson received the top spot in the South Division after receiving 10 first-place votes and 65 total points. Allegheny grabbed the top spot in the North Division with 66 points and 11 first-place votes.

Waynesburg tips off the 2025-26 season on Friday, Nov. 14, when it faces William Patterson in the first round of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, which is being hosted by York (Pa.) College. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
