MCKEESPORT, Pa. (April 12) – The Waynesburg University men's golf team notched a head-to-head victory over Carlow in a dual match at the Youghiogheny Country Club on Saturday.
Both teams fielded five-man lineups with the top four scores counting toward the final team tally. Waynesburg posted a team score of 331 while Carlow recorded a 379.
The Yellow Jackets had the top three finishers in the 10-man field and four of the top five scores overall.
Matt Karpeal (Smithfield, Pa. / Albert Gallatin) was the low man on the day with a 79.
Alan Tarolli (Washington, Pa. / Fort Cherry) and
Connor Jacobs (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro) tied for the second-lowest score at 82.
Nate Barnhart (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) completed Waynesburg's scoring quartet with an 88, fifth overall.
Tyler Rollinson (Scottdale, Pa. / Southmoreland) rounded out the Jacket lineup with a 103.
Waynesburg hosts Bethany for a dual match at the Greene County Country Club on Monday.
