WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 9) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference match to Grove City at the Bechtle Family Tennis Facility on Wednesday afternoon.
The Wolverines (7-3, 4-1 PAC) prevailed 7-0 in the match. The Yellow Jackets (2-5, 1-3 PAC) won two games in doubles play and six in singles action.
The Wolverines took the doubles point with 6-1, 6-0 and 6-1 victories.
Ethan Clawson (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) took two games in a 6-1, 6-1 defeat at No. 1 singles.
Josh DeFries (East Aurora, N.Y. / East Aurora) won two games in the opening set in a 6-2, 6-0 setback at third singles.
Andres Rojas (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Brashear) was defeated 6-1, 6-1 at fourth singles.
The Jackets travel to Franciscan on Friday for a 4 p.m. match.
