Massotti and Wilson were honored as PAC Scholar Athletes of the Year for Waynesburg. This is the 12th class of scholar-athletes recognized by the conference for athletic achievements, excellence in the classroom and outstanding community service.
Massotti graduated from Waynesburg as a marketing major, and a four-year starter for Yellow Jacket men's soccer team. A team captain, he was a two-time All-PAC honoree and, as a senior, led the conference and set Waynesburg's single-season assists record with nine assists.
Massotti set Waynesburg's single-game assists record with three at Carlow and became the first player in team history to have multiple multi-assist games. He concluded his career with 19 assists, second-most in program history. He is two-year College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and a member of the PAC Academic Honor Roll.
Wilson is an early childhood education and special education Waynesburg University graduate and a four-year member of the Waynesburg softball team. She was a four-year All-PAC selection and a two-time PAC Pitcher of the Year. Wilson led the Jackets to PAC championships in 2022 and 2023 and to the PAC Tournament title game in 2024.
Wilson was honored as the PAC Newcomer of the Year in 2022 and the PAC Tournament's Most Outstanding Player in 2023. Regionally, she was named the ECAC Pitcher of the Year and to the NFCA All-Region Second Team in 2023. She concluded her Waynesburg career with 59 wins, 484 strikeouts and a 1.70 ERA, all program records. Wilson set single-season team record in wins, ERA and strikeouts and the team's single-game strikeouts mark. Wilson was a member of the PAC Academic Honor Roll and earned Academic All-District honors from CSC last spring.
Wilson was inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi education honor society and was a Dean's list student at Waynesburg. Her future plans are to get a job teaching elementary students at a local school district, while preparing to further her education in a master's or juris doctor program.
Each of the PAC's 11 full-time member institutions, along with football affiliates, were represented by some of their most distinguished student-athletes at the event.
