NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (August 29) – The Waynesburg University men's cross country team opened its 2025 season Friday evening at the Westminster Fisher Invitational, held on the Westminster College Cross Country Course in New Wilmington.
The Jackets placed eighth in the team standings with 219 points.
Junior
Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway) led the Yellow Jackets with a 52nd-place finish in the 85-runner field. Casella clocked an 18:21.91 to pace Waynesburg's scoring five.
Freshman
Jack Hood (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) followed as the team's No. 2 finisher in 58th place with a time of 18:34.73. Sophomore
Ethan Wilson (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Redeemer Lutheran) crossed in 71st place (19:39.25), while sophomore
Nicky Todd (Homer City, Pa. / Homer Center) was 75th in 20:15.18 and freshman
Rockford Bobak (Castle Shannon, Pa. / Keystone Oaks) rounded out the scoring in 76th (20:22.89).
Freshman
Logan Eberhardt (Massillon, Ohio / Tuslaw) added displacement with a 78th-place finish in 20:25.64. Sophomore
Sterlin Mullins (Circleville, Ohio / Circleville) also competed for the Jackets.
Waynesburg returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Bethany Invitational in Bethany, W.Va.
