GREENSBURG, Pa. (September 10) - The women's soccer team lost its first game this season to Pitt-Greensburg (2-2-1) 1-0 to fall to 4-1 on the season.

The Yellow Jackets had two shots on frame in the first half from Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom) and Ryan White (Lewisburg, W. Va. / Greenbrier East). 

Mohrbacher's shot was in the 7th minute to the low center, while White's was in the 32nd minute, also to the low center; both were saved.

At halftime both teams remained scoreless with four shots.

In the second half, the Jackets had two more shots on goal from Abby Ngugi (Jefferson Hills, Pa. / Thomas Jefferson) in the 46th minute and Reagan Mittendorf (Bluffton, Ohio, Bluffton) in the 60th, both also saved.

The Bobcats scored in remarkable fashion for the game's only goal in the 73rd minute. Pitt-Greensburg ripped a shot off the top-left corner of the goal post, it ricocheted in high-arcing fashion to right post where it was headed in by Maya Wertelet.

The Jackets outshot Pitt-Greensburg 10-5 (4-4 SOG) while also having six of the nine corner kicks. 

Lex Greenlief (Chester, W. Va. / Oak Glen) finished with three saves in net for the Jackets. Mittendorf notched three shots and Amanda Pepe (Mantua, N.J. / Gloucester County Institute of Technology) had two attempts.

The Jackets are back in action on Friday when they take on Baldwin Wallace on the road beginning at 7 p.m.
