MEADVILLE, Pa. (September 20) – The Waynesburg University men's cross country team competed at the Allegheny Classic on Saturday, which also served as the Presidents' Athletic Conference Preview ahead of the league championship on November 1.
The Yellow Jackets finished 10th out of 13 teams with 307 points in a field that featured PAC opponents along with Division I, Division II, Division III and junior-college programs.
Sophomore
Nicky Todd (Homer City, Pa. / Homer Center) led Waynesburg by placing 40th overall with a time of 28:40. Sophomore
Ethan Wilson (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Redeemer Lutheran) followed in 140th at 33:14, while junior
Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway) took 143rd in 33:23.
Freshman
Jack Hood (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) placed 152nd in 34:35, and freshman
Logan Eberhardt (Massillon, Ohio / Tuslaw) rounded out the Jacket scorers in 157th at 35:20.
Freshman
Rockford Bobak (Castle Shannon, Pa. / Keystone Oaks) capped Waynesburg lineup, finishing 164th in 37:43 as six Jackets toed the line.
Waynesburg returns to action next Saturday at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational.
