McKEESPORT, Pa. (Sept. 20) – The Waynesburg University men's golf team claimed a dual-match victory over Carlow at Youghiogheny Country Club. The Yellow Jackets posted a team score of 339 to top the Celtics' 359.
Junior
Matt Karpeal (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) earned medalist honors with a round of 79 (+7). Sophomore
Braden Benke (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) followed closely with an 82 (+10) to finish runner-up.
Sophomore
Brady Donovan (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Brentwood) tied for fourth overall at 88 (+16), while junior
Nate Barnhart (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) rounded out the Jackets' scoring four at 90 (+18).
Carlow was led by Logan Smith, who placed third with an 86 (+14).
The Jackets are back on the course Monday, Sept. 22, when they travel to Wildwood Golf Club in Allison Park, Pa., for the La Roche Invitational.
