NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 25) – The Waynesburg University softball team wrapped up the 2026 regular season on Saturday when it traveled to Westminster for a doubleheader with the top team in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). The Yellow Jackets fell by the final scores of 8-1 and 8-0 (5 innings).
Waynesburg's day against the Titans (27-9, 19-3) can be summed up in one statistic. The Yellow Jackets (26-14, 13-9) were outscored 15-0 over innings one and two of the twin bill. The final combined eight innings saw the two teams play to a 1-1 draw.

Kassidy Trimble (Parkersburg, W.Va. / Parkersburg South) drove in Waynesburg's only run of the afternoon when she singled home junior
Brynn Charnesky (Scottdale, Pa. / Southmoreland) in the top of the fifth inning of game one. Charnesky and junior
Jamie Kelly (Front Royal, Va. / Skyline) both doubled in the opener. Kelly's 18
th two-bagger of the season not only kept her atop the PAC standings in that category, but also tied her for the single-season program record.
Waynesburg will be back in New Wilmington on Thursday, April 30, to begin its run in the PAC Championship tournament.
