NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Sept. 18) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team opened its two-day run at the Grove City Invitational with a pair of matches on Friday. The Yellow Jackets fell 3-0 to both Albion and Denison.
Waynesburg (1-8) dropped its opening match to the Britons (8-0) by the set scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-10. The Jackets followed that up by dropping its second match of the evening to the Big Red (3-7) 25-10, 25-12, 25-14.
Waynesburg is back in action tomorrow for day two of the Grove City Invitational. Match one sees the Orange and Black take on Mount Union at noon, before squaring off with Mount St. Joseph at 2 p.m.
