SELINSGROVE, Pa. (Sept. 5) - The Waynesburg University women's soccer team continued the non-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) portion of its schedule against Susquehanna on Saturday. The Jackets led for the majority of the contest, but a late flurry allowed the River Hawks to pull out a 2-1 triumph.

Waynesburg (0-3) began the scoring in the waning seconds of the 10th minute with junior
Amanda Pepe (Mantua, N.J. / Gloucester County Institute of Technology) popping a ball into the back of the opposing net with a shot into the lower left hand corner. It was Pepe's second goal in as many contests.

After being kept off the board for over 70 minutes, Susquehanna (2-0) tied things up in the 75
th minute. The game was ultimately decided in the 87th minute, when the home team produced the deciding point.

Pepe led the team in shots with three, followed by senior
Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom) and senior
Hailey Gilchrest (Hanover, Va. / Hanover), who logged two each. Senior goalkeeper
Lex Greenlief (Chester, W.Va. / Oak Glen) played 90 minutes and posted a six-save performance.

The Yellow Jackets get a few days off before their next contest on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at La Roche. Start time from Pittsburgh is scheduled for 4 p.m.
