Waynesburg University Athletics

Matt Cross serves as the team chaplain for the Waynesburg University men's soccer team.

Cross was a multi-year member of the Waynesburg men’s soccer and track and field teams before earning his degree in 2007. He was also a member of the PAC Academic Honor Roll. He served as an assistant coach with the men's soccer program from 2013-2020.

Cross is a native of McKean, Pa. and a graduate of General McLane High School. He is married to his wife Michelle, who formerly served as the head track & field coach at Waynesburg, and the two have a son, Gilbert and a daughter, Wilhelmina.
