Sam Fahsel enters his first season at Waynesburg University as a volunteer assistant coach for the men’s soccer team in 2024.
He began his coaching career in 2015 as the varsity head coach for the boys' program, and later the girls' program, at Lake Mills High School. In 2019, Fahsel joined the varsity coaching staff at Sun Prairie High School helping to build a positive soccer culture in the community until 2022. Fahsel coached club soccer in Madison, Wisc. for the Capital East SC and the Madison 56ers SC between 2020 and 2023 as well.
From 2023 - 2024, Fahsel was the Director of Student Activities and head soccer coach at San Miguel School in Washington, D.C.
To rounded out his coaching career, Fahsel joined the Olympic Development Program coaching both in Wisconsin (2022 - 2023) and in Pennsylvania (current). Currently, he coaches for the Pittsburgh Football Club in Pittsburgh, Pa.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in history from Marquette University in 2015.
Fahsel holds his United States Soccer Federation D license and various professional development diplomas from the United Soccer Coaches Association.
