Waynesburg University Athletics

After a productive four years on the pitch with the Waynesburg University men's soccer team, Steven Haines returned to the sidelines prior to the 2021 season as an assistant coach. He graduated in the spring of 2021 with a degree in Criminal Justice (Psychology minor).

Haines was a four-year starter at Waynesburg and was named a team captain during the 2020-21 campaign. He was honored as an ECAC Division III South Rookie of the Week in 2017 and was tabbed as the Jackets' representative on the 2017 All-PAC Men's Soccer Teams.  

While this is Haines' first foray into college coaching, he has spent a year on the sidelines for Special Olympics soccer. 

Prior to coming to Waynesburg, Haines was a four-year varsity starter at Plumstead Christian School in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He was a two-year captain and a member of the 2014 team that won a district title and made it to the Pennsylvania state semifinals.
