Junior wrestler Colby Morris (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) punched his ticket for the 2023 NCAA Division III National Championships by placing second at this past weekend’s NCAA Division III Southeast Regional Championships in York, Pennsylvania. Morris opened his first day at the event with an 11-1 major decision over Tyson Hoopes of Southern Virginia. He wrapped up his 2-0 Friday by downing Washington & Lee's Mark Troni by 7-2 decision. On Saturday, Morris defeated returning national qualifier Alex Turley of Averett 3-1 to reach the title bout and punch his ticket for nationals.
