NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 25) – The Waynesburg men dropped a 4-1 decision to Westminster on Saturday night.
Westminster got out to a 2-0 lead after the first 20 minutes of the contest, but Waynesburg got back into the contest during the 60th minute when senior #J.C. Danhires# found the back of the net against Westminster keeper Lance Leathers.
Unfortunately, the Titans tacked on goals during the 71st and 82nd minutes to close up the win.
Sophomore Yellow Jacket goalkeeper Ryan Hunsberger stopped two Titan shots while logging all 90 minutes in net.
The loss dropped Waynesburg to 5-11-2 overall and 0-3-1 in PAC play. The win keeps Westminster undefeated in the conference (5-0) and improves their overall mark to 13-5.
The Jackets return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 29, when they host Thomas More.
