Box Score

LANCASTER, Pa. (Sept. 18) – The Waynesburg men's soccer team played a solid 90 minutes at Lancaster Bible College and picked up their first win of the season by the final score of 2-1 over the Chargers on Friday.

The Yellow Jackets (1-7) were playing their eighth-straight road game and got the game-winning goal off the foot of sophomore Erick Burke in the second half. It was his team-leading third goal of the season.

Waynesburg got their first goal of the game from senior Jeremy Pronto just 20 minutes into the contest, which tied the score at 1-1. The win was an impressive one for the Jackets as Lancaster came in with a 5-1 record and riding a five-game winning streak.

The Jacket men won't have much time to savor their first win of the season as they face Lycoming for their ninth-straight road game on Saturday at 4 p.m.
