WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 20) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 home PAC match against Grove City on Wednesday Oct. 20.
The Wolverines (11-3-2, 4-1) jumped out to 2-0 lead by the time first half came to an end. The Wolverines wrapped up the scoring with two goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half to put the game out of the Jacket's reach.
The Yellow Jackets (5-9-1, 0-5) were led on the attack by junior Erick Burke, who took two shots, one of which narrowly missed the back of the net as it trickled just wide. Senior Ryan Hunsberger made eight saves in goal.
Waynesburg will try to get back on the winning track when they travel to Bethany College on Oct. 23. The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
