ALTOONA, Pa. (Sept. 16) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 road contest at Penn State Altoona on Thursday evening.
The Yellow Jackets (2-4-1) struggled to get their offense going as they managed to put just one of their shot attempts on goal. Penn State Altoona (3-3-0) got all their offense from Nathan Sonnentha, who recorded a hat trick on the night.
Senior Ryan Hunsberger got the start in goal and made five saves while playing all 45 minutes of the first half. Freshman Dan Buzzard worked the second half and made two saves.
The Jackets will look to bounce back from the loss on Saturday, Sept. 18, when they travel to Frederick, Md. to face hood College. The game is scheduled to get started at 4 p.m.
