DEFIANCE, Ohio (Sept. 3) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team battled Ohio Wesleyan through 110 scoreless minutes at the DC Classic Tournament hosted by Defiance College on Friday.
The Yellow Jackets and Battling Bishops both got outstanding work from their respective goal keepers in a 0-0 double-overtime tie. Waynesburg is now 0-1-1 on the year, while OWU is now 0-0-1.
Junior Katrina Kelly withstood a barrage of 20 shots, including 10 on goal that she was able to turn away. OWU out-shot the Jackets 20 to three.
Waynesburg will take another shot at their first win on the season tomorrow when they face the host team from Defiance tomorrow at 11 a.m.
