OBERLIN, Ohio (Oct. 15) – The Waynesburg University men's cross country team was back in action on Saturday as the Yellow Jackets took part in the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble, which was the team's final regular season race of the year.
The Yellow Jackets finished in 33
rd place out of 34 teams competing. Freshman
Brandon Dugan led teh Waynesburg contingency by finishing in 177th place with a time of 28:35.4. Sophomore
Jonathan Blatt next crossed the finishe line in 192
nd-place with a time of 28:53.7. Freshman
John Allison was the next Jacket to complete the race as he did so in 29:44.3, good for 212
th place.
Top team honors went to Albion, who was followed by Allegheny and Saint Vincent for second and third place. Top individual honors went to Franciscan junior Bill Jones, who broke the tape in 25:23.3. Allegheny's Bobby Oliver finished second (25:27.5), while Noah Droddy of DePauw took the bronze with a time of 25:31.7.
With the regular season wrapped up, Waynesburg turns its attention to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, which will be hosted by Westminster College on Saturday, Oct. 29.
