Things to Watch For
*- Waynesburg is currently on a six-game winning streak against Thiel, which is the Yellow Jackets' longest run of victories against any Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent.

*- Saturday's game features the top two punters in the PAC. Waynesburg senior Zack Rogers leads the conference and ranks 12th in all of Division III with a 41.63 yards per punt average, while Thiel sophomore Cody McClelland ranks second in the conference by averaging 39.2 yards per boot.

*- The Tomcats have shown tremendous discipline during the 2012 season, as is evident by the fact that they come into week five having given up the second-fewest penalty yards in the PAC. Thiel has averaged just 37.8 penalty yards per contest.

*- Saturday's battles in the trenches could be the highlight of the day, especially when Waynesburg has the football. The Yellow Jackets come in having yielded just two sacks for six yards in four games, which is the top showing by a conference offensive line in 2012. Thiel, on the other hand, is currently ranked eighth in all of Division III and first in the conference with 16 sacks on the year. The leader of the Tomcats' pass rush is senior defensive lineman Tim Taylor, who leads the PAC in sacks (5) and tackles for loss (8.5).

*- Waynesburg quarterback Tyler Fatigante should have a little extra confidence when throwing the ball on Saturday as Thiel is the only team in the PAC to not intercept a pass this season.

*- With both teams' passing games getting off to a slow start in 2012 (Thiel seventh, Waynesburg ninth), the day's offensive advantage could belong to the team that runs the ball more efficiently. If that is the case, the Yellow Jackets appear to have the advantage, at least statistically. Waynesburg leads the PAC in rushing yards per game (203.5 ypg), and ranks second in rushing defense (83.0 ypg).

*- Above all other numbers, the ones that count the most come on the scoreboard. Both the Jackets and Tomcats have made it extremely difficult on the opposing offenses to put up points. Waynesburg has given up the third-fewest points per game in the PAC (13.5), while Thiel has averaged the fourth fewest points given up per contest (16.0). Waynesburg, however, has scored the third-most points in 2012 with a 26.0 ppg average. Thiel, on the other hand, has managed just 10.2 points per contest.
