Men's soccer falls 2-0 at Oberlin

Yellow Jackets suffer defeat for the first time in 2012

Box Score

OBERLIN, Ohio (Sept. 7) – A strong showing in goal by sophomore Brandon Daughtry wasn't enough to power the Waynesburg men's soccer team to its third-straight victory on Friday night, when the Yellow Jackets traveled to Oberlin.

The Jackets were out-shot by a 16-to-six margin by the Yeomen and suffered their first loss of the year by a 2-0 margin. Even though Daughtry (2-1) suffered his first loss in net of the year, he turned away 10 shots on the evening as Waynesburg fell to 2-1 on the season. Oberlin improved to 3-1 for the season.

The Jackets will play their second game in Ohio in as many days when they head to Hiram on Saturday, Sept. 8. Due to the threat of severe weather, start time for the game has been moved up to 2:30 p.m.
