Things to Watch For:
  • Last week, Waynesburg defeated Geneva in the 77th meeting of the two programs. Saturday's showdown between Westminster and Waynesburg is the 72nd contest featuring the former NAIA rivals.
  • Yellow Jacket senior defensive end Brandon Fedorka has always been a consistent presence in the face of opposing quarterbacks. Coming into Saturday's game, Fedorka's 30 sacks have him tied for third place among all active NCAA players regardless of division.
  • The Waynesburg defense has forced at least three turnovers in its last three games. Last week against Geneva, senior cornerback Stephen Holt notched two interceptions and senior safety Logan McAnany recorded one interception.
  • The Yellow Jackets plus-10 turnover margin ranks first in the PAC. They are also tied for 19th in Division III turnover margin per game (1.25).
  • Junior receiver Andrew English's 660 receiving yards are the most by a Waynesburg player since Christian Jackson's 690 yards in 2011. The junior needs 40 yards to become the first player since Ray Hightower II to go over 700 receiving yards in a single season, which he did in 2008.
  • Waynesburg features five players with 20 or more receptions for the first time since 2010. Junior Andrew English leads the group with 55 catches. Junior Bernie Thompson ranks second with 45 and senior Mike Ferraro has caught 30 balls. Freshman Jake Danks (23) and junior Zac Capan (20) round out the group.
  • Under head coach Rick Shepas, the Waynesburg football team is 8-11 all-time in the month of November. Last season, the Yellow Jackets played two games in November, going 1-1 (11/10/12 vs. W&J, L 31-14; 11/17/12 vs, CMU, W 28-24).
  • With a 4-2 record in Presidents' Athletic Conference play, Waynesburg sits one game back of Thomas More (5-1 PAC) and Washington & Jefferson (5-1 PAC). This week, Thomas More travels to Saint Vincent while Washington & Jefferson has its bye.
