Despite falling behind early, the Jackets (5-17, 1-7) trailed just 3-0 going into the sixth inning. Katey Potopenko singled in senior leftfielder
Jasmine Blackwell.
Four errors by the visiting team played a significant role in the loss, as five of Westminster's runs were unearned. Sophomore pitcher
Stephanie Kotomski and suffered the loss after giving up three runs, one of which was earned, on four hits and a walk.
The Jackets looked poised to pull out a split in New Wilmington after building up a 2-0 lead in game two. Senior designated player
Madison Presto drove in the game's first run when she plated senior centerfielder
Shelby Tabrosky with a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Four innings later, junior

Ashley Demarco. The miscue was one of four for Westminster in game two.
Unfortunately, the Titans maintained their composure and plated a trio of runs in the top of the seventh inning to go up 3-2. The Jackets put two runners on in the bottom of the frame with one out, but couldn't push a tying run across home plate.
Tabrosky had one of her best collegiate games at the plate by going three-for-four with a double and a run scored. Potopenko added two hits and a double of her own. Waynesburg used three pitchers in the loss, with freshman
Lyndi Gareis taking the decision after working one inning of relief. Junior
