Frostburg State ResultsWashington & Jefferson Results WASHINGTON, Pa. (Sept. 27) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team traveled north on I-79 to participate in Saturday's tournament hosted by Washington & Jefferson College. The Yellow Jackets dropped a pair of 6-3 matches to Frostburg State and the host Presidents.
Freshman Jonah Cooper led the Yellow Jackets (0-3) by going a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles play. Cooper posted straight-set wins at number-two singles and teamed up with sophomore
Adam McKnight to enjoy a 2-0 day at the number-two doubles position.
The first doubles team of sophomore
Timothy Harris and freshman Joshua Denham added a win for the Jackets against Frostburg State. Denham also picked up a straight-set singles win against W&J.
Saturday was the scheduled end of Waynesburg's fall schedule. The Jackets are scheduled to return to competition on Friday, Feb. 26, when they face Pitt Greensburg.
