Box Score ALFRED, N.Y. (Sept. 5) - The Waynesburg University men's soccer team capped its weekend at the Alfred University tournament by squaring off with the hosts Saxons. The Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 5-0
 
The Jackets (0-3) played to a scoreless halftime score, before Alfred (1-1) exploded for all five of its goals in the second 45 minutes. The eventual game-winner found the back of the net just 2:16 into period number two.
 
Freshman James Snyder started and played 47:15 in net. The rookie stopped 12-of-13 shots on goals. Senior Nathan Ribar made six saves and allowed the final four tallies over 42:15 on the field.
 
The Jackets return to John F. Wiley Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 8, with a home game against La Roche. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
