Match ResultsGREENSBURG, Pa. (Feb. 26) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team faced off with Pitt Greensburg for a road match on Friday. The Yellow Jackets were forced to give up two forfeits that played a big role in a 6-3 loss to the Bobcats.
Waynesburg (0-5) was led by freshman
Jonah Cooper, who posted a 2-0 record on the day. He scored a 6-1, 6-1 victory at second singles, before teaming up with sophomore
Adam McKnight for an 8-0 triumph at number-two doubles.
The Jackets' other win on the day came courtesy of sophomore
Tim Harris and freshman
Josh Denham. The pair put together an 8-4 triumph at number-one doubles.
Waynesburg turns right back around for its second match in as many days when it travels to Penn State Behrend on Saturday. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
