Match Results ERIE, Pa. (Feb. 27) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team played its second road match in as many days on Saturday, when it traveled to Penn State Behrend. The Yellow Jackets fell 6-3 to the Lions.
Freshman
Jonah Cooper ran his combined spring record to 6-0 by going 2-0 against Behrend (5-3). The rookie standout rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at second singles and teamed up with sophomore
Adam McKnight for an 8-5 win at number-two doubles.
McKnight added Waynesburg's (0-6) third win of the day by way of a 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 triumph at the number-four flight.
The Jackets are off until Thursday, March 17, when they host their first home match of the spring. Waynesburg hosts Muskingum for a 3:30 p.m. start time.
