Men's kickers face Marietta

Waynesburg drops 3-0 final to Pioneers

MARIETTA, Ohio (Sept. 24) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team traveled to Marietta for a Saturday matchup. The Yellow Jackets dropped a 3-0 final score to the host Pioneers.
 
Waynesburg (2-6) out-shot Marietta (5-4-1) 4-2 in a scoreless first half. Both offenses opened up in the second period, as the Pioneers out-shot the Jackets by an 8-5 margin. The game-deciding goal was scored in the 51st minute of play.
 
The Jackets return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 27, when they return to the Buckeye State to play the University of Mount Union. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
