BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 11) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team hit the road for a Wednesday night Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup with Bethany. Despite being out-shot by the Bison, the Yellow Jackets hung around throughout the night, but ultimately came up just short in a 1-0 loss to the home team.
Bethany (7-6-1, 1-1-1) posted the game's only goal during the 80
th minute of play, despite holding sizeable advantages in total shots (15-7) and shots on goal (6-3) over Waynesburg (4-6-2-, 2-2).
Freshman
Adam Dolan got the start in goal and made one save over the first 60:04 of play. Fellow rookie
Daniel Brode finished out the game and suffered the loss after stopping three-of-four shots on goal.
The Jackets return to action on Saturday, when they host Thiel for senior day. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
