CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (Oct. 7) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team made its longest Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) road trip of the season on Saturday, when it traveled to Thomas More to face the Saints. The two teams engaged in an emotionally-charged, physical contest that ended with the home team picking up a 3-0 win.
The game-winning goal was scored by Thomas More (8-4-1, 3-0) during the 34
th minute. Waynesburg (4-5-2, 2-1) trailed just 1-0 at halftime, but the Saints recorded insurance tallies during the 50
th and 63
rd minutes.
The officials were kept busy during the contest, as the two conference rivals combined for seven yellow cards, one red card and 25 fouls.
The Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 11, when they head to Bethany. Start time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
