GREENSBURG, Pa. (Feb. 17) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team traveled to Pitt Greensburg on Friday for a road match with the Bobcats. The Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 6-3.

Sophomores Jonah Cooper and Josh Denham got the Jackets (1-4) off to a good start with a 9-7 win at first doubles. Waynesburg won its second-straight doubles contest at the number-two spot thanks to the efforts of Jordan Pastoria and Adam McKnight, who rolled to an 8-3 victory.

After UPG (1-0) scored a win at third doubles, it locked up the victory by triumphing in the first five singles flights. Freshman James Zeremenko pulled out the win at the number-six slot by forfeit.

Waynesburg is back in action tomorrow, when it travels to Erie, Pennsylvania, to face Penn State Behrend. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
