WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Aug. 11) – The Waynesburg University football team unveiled their uniforms for the 2018 season as part of day two of summer training camp on Saturday night. The event was highlighted by brand new orange jerseys and the first major helmet design overhaul in over a decade.
 
Returning starters Chad Walker (RB/WR), Alex Paulina (OL), Jake Dougherty (QB/WR), Will VanNorman (DL), John-Glen Davis (LB) and Justin Willkow (CB) got the honor of displaying the new gear. Along with the updated orange jerseys, Waynesburg's new helmets went from white to black with a metallic orange center stripe. One side of the helmet features a player's corresponding jersey number and the other sports the Yellow Jacket logo.
 
The entire Waynesburg football team will be in uniform tomorrow for its annual media day at John F. Wiley Stadium. The event is scheduled to get started at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
 
The new gear will make its varsity debut on Saturday, Sept. 1, when Waynesburg hosts Muskingum. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
