BEREA, Ohio (Sept. 22) – In a non-conference battle of the Yellow Jackets, it was the host team Baldwin Wallace that defeated the Waynesburg University men's soccer team by the final of 4-1.
Baldwin Wallace (5-3-1) scored 15 minutes into the match and added two more before the halftime horn. The Yellow Jackets of Berea added another goal in the second half. Waynesburg (3-5) got on the board thanks to sophomore forward
Daniel Hott's third goal of the season. Hott scored off the corner kick from senior forward
Matt Hlasnick.
Waynesburg outshot Baldwin Wallace 14-13, but Baldwin Wallace put nine shots on goal compared to seven for Waynesburg. Waynesburg also totaled nine corners and committed five less fouls (13-8).
Waynesburg returns home after nearly two weeks on the road for its last non-conference matchup of the year against Mount Union on Tuesday, Sept. 25. First kick is set for 6 p.m.
