WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 25) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team faced one of its biggest tests of the season when it hosted 24
th-ranked Mount Union. The Yellow Jackets battled to a 0-0 halftime tie, but couldn't crack the Purple Raider defense in a 1-0 loss.
Mount Union, which improved to 7-0 on the season, has not allowed a goal over the entirety of its season-long winning streak. The Raiders tallied the evening's only score late in the 55
th minute.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Adam Dolan did all he could to keep his team in the match by stopping eight-of-nine shots on goal. He and his defensive mates had their hands full with the visiting team, which attempted 19 total shots. Waynesburg (3-6) countered with six total shots, two of which were on goal.
The Jackets open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play on Saturday, Sept. 29, when they host Saint Vincent. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
