Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MONACA, Pa. (March 13) – The Waynesburg University softball team traveled to Beaver County on Wednesday for a doubleheader with Penn State Beaver. The Yellow Jackets fell in both ends of the twin bill despite a strong start to game two.

Waynesburg (2-8) dropped a 6-1 decision in the opener after falling behind 6-0 after four innings of play. Junior second baseman Ashley Dubovich (New Salem, Pa. / Albert Gallatin) ended the game with a bang by teeing off on a solo homerun in the top of the seventh inning.

Senior leftfielder Cat Allstatt (Indianapolis, Ind. / Roncalli) continued a strong start to her final collegiate season by going two-for-four at the dish.

Freshman Emily Schafer (Meyersdale, Pa. / Meyersdale) posted her team's first run on a wild pitch.

Syfert logged a pair of hits, including a double, and stole a base in the late game.
