WAYNESBURG, Pa. (March 31) – The Waynesburg University men's soccer team knew it was in for a challenge during Wednesday night's matchup with undefeated Washington & Jefferson. The Yellow Jackets proved to their were up to that challenge, even though they were unable to upset the visiting Presidents, who came away with a 1-0 win.
W&J (4-0, 4-0), which is tied for first place in the PAC, came into the match averaging 4.3 goals per game. Freshman goalkeeper
Zach Burke (Bowie, Md. / Bowie) played a major role in Waynesburg's (1-2-1, 1-2-1) upset effort in his first collegiate start. Burke, who was also seeing his first collegiate action between the pipes, played all 90 minutes and made 80 saves on the night.

Daniel Hott (Cumberland, Md. / Fort Hill) attempted four of his team's 11 total shots, two of which were put on net. Junior
Ryan McCann (Runcorn, England / Moon) attempted three shots of his own.
Waynesburg is back in action on Wednesday, April 7, when the Jackets travel to Westminster. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
